Borderlands 3 is the newest entry into the legendary Borderlands franchise. This is the full new looter-shooter that fans have been waiting for since Borderlands 2’s release in 2012. Borderlands 3 includes plenty of content to play through, and the same over-the-top setting that made the previous games hits.

Borderlands 3 includes a large world map with quite a few areas to explore, some of which can be a little confusing to locate. Lectra City, for example, is home to plenty of challenges, collectibles, and rewards, but can only be accessed through a specific chain of events. If players want to level Borderlands 3 characters to the max, it will be important to fully explore the game and find all of the important areas.

Lectra City can only be entered once players accept a specific side quest. Players will eventually receive a quest from Moxxi to Kill Killavolt. This quest will be available in Sanctuary, and can be activated by speaking to Moxxi and accepting her request. This quest can also be accepted in Meridian Metroplex, but players will have to go there anyway in order to follow the quest. Even after this quest is accepted, the quest markers may not lead players directly to the entrance for Lectra City. To find it, there is a little exploring that must be done.

Players will be directed to a fast travel station. This should lead to the Meridian Metroplex area on Promethean. Once there, the door that leads to Lectra City is located near the center of the area. It will be up a set of stairs behind an area called Knoxx Station guarded by a few enemies. The telltale sign on the area map is a small, short hallway that seems to lead to nowhere at the center of the Metroplex. At the end of this hallway is a large door that leads to Lectra City. Once players enter, they will technically be in Lectra City, but must wait for a short dialogue from Moxxi before entering the rest of the city.

Lectra City is rife with challenges and other quests to complete, so exploring it will provide bountiful profits for any player. Some of the best rewards in Borderlands 3 come from exploring areas like this. Exploring, shooting, and looting is the name of the game.

Borderlands 3 is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
