In 10 days, fans will finally be able to get their hands on Borderlands 3, and today Gearbox Software officially announced what time the game will go live for each console and confirmed when players can preload the game. Console players will, for the most part, be able to play immediately on September 13. PC players who get the game through the Epic Game Store may be able to play the game early on September 12.

For PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players, Borderlands 3 launches at midnight local time on September 13. Players on the west coast of the United States will be able to play the game at 9 p.m. on September 12.

For those playing on PC, the game launches a bit early for most. West coast players get to start exploring the many worlds of Borderlands 3 at 4 p.m. on September 12, and those on the east coast get to play at 7 p.m. on September 12. For those in Europe and beyond, the game has a staggered launch starting at midnight on September 13.

Those playing on PC should definitely make sure their rigs are ready to handle the Borderlands 3 PC requirements, as mayhem arrives a bit early on that platform. For console players, they can begin pre-loading Borderlands 3 about 48 hours before the game launches. Previously, Gearbox stated that PC would not support early launch, but the wording on the announcement today seems to suggest that even the Epic Games Store will have Borderlands 3 available for early download so that players can play the game right when it launches instead of waiting for a download to finish.

Borderlands 3 is without a doubt one of the most anticipated games this year, and thankfully fans don’t have to wait too much longer for it. Whether fans are excited to try out the powerful new Vault Hunters or explore the dangerous new planets coming to the game, there is plenty for fans to be excited for. Hopefully, Borderlands 3 will be one of those games that players will come back to for years to come, just like its predecessor.
