The new FL4K class mod from the upcoming Borderlands 3 DLC looks pretty sweet if you ask us.

Moxxi’s Heist Of The Handsome Jackpot, Borderlands 3’s first DLC expansion, arrives on December 19th. In it, you’ll travel to Handsome Jack’s Casino, and even though Jack is dead, his businesses still operate as though he were alive and well - at least, until you show up and blow everything up. That’ll likely for a rebranding that’s a long time coming.

We got our first peek at the DLC’s gameplay last week with a 13-minute long preview video. You can check out the gameplay here. We see some of the level design, some of the action, and best of all, some of the loot.

One such piece of gear is going to make FL4K mains very happy robots indeed. It’s a new Legendary class mod called St4ckbot, and as the name implies, it gives FL4K damage stacks out the wazoo.

However, first, let’s get to the skill bonuses. St4ckbot provides a point to Guerillas in the Mist, which changes your Fade Away action skill to let you fire while faded, albeit at the bost of crit damage and invisibility time. Don’t worry – we’ll make up for that lost crit damage later.

Second is a bonus to Hunter’s Eye, which provides a different bonus depending on who you’re fighting. It’s nice to have, but hardly something to build around. The third skill is unknown at this time, so speculate all you want.

Now, time for the good stuff. The mod says whenever FL4K scores a crit, they gain increased weapon damage until they miss. Oh, and the effect stacks. To how long? We don’t know. Maybe forever. If so, this would make St4ckbot ludicrously good for killing targets with large, easy-to-hit crit zones with rapid-fire weapons so that you can build up that stack quickly.

Reddit users are already suggesting weapon combos like Shreddifier or Lucian’s Call to build up those stacks and then switch to a single-shot high-damage weapon to deal massive bonus damage to a boss. With the right setup, St4ckbot could be a true powerhouse.
