Borderlands 3 is releasing worldwide this Friday and Gearbox Software have released an action-packed new launch trailer in the leadup to their upcoming looter-shooter. Appropriately entitled “Let’s Make Some Mayhem,” this Borderlands 3 latest trailer is set to the backdrop of the legendary rock band Queen and shows off the new villains, tons of loot, and a whole lot of mayhem.
The Calypso Twins, Borderlands 3’s lastest villain duo, are live-streaming their plans to unite bandits across the galaxy, and open up some Vaults to reap the rewards for themselves. The twins have also issued a warning to any Vault Hunters out there watching that the pair won’t be offering any mercy before Tyreen refers to herself as a God.
Fans can expect a whole lot of content coming in Borderlands 3. The main story quest is expected to last 30+ hours, with the addition of side missions and endgame content on top of that. Gearbox recently confirmed that Borderlands 3 endgame content will have match-making options available and sees the return of familiar features such as Circle of Slaughter mode, and Badass Ranks, which are now called Guardian Ranks.
While the launch trailer was certainly more of the same when it comes to pre-release Borderlands 3 content and trailers, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. After all, fans know what they want from Borderlands, and that is mayhem. Plus, there appears to be a huge amount of variety in gameplay, locations, and abilities that separate the sequel from its predecessor in what looks like an insane, action-packed follow-up.
With only a few days left to wait until the official release, many fans are likely wondering what time Borderlands 3 can be downloaded and played across different platforms and timezones. Luckily, Gearbox Software has released the official global BL3 release times for console and PC players worldwide, and it’s so close that we can almost taste it.
Borderlands 3 releases on September 13 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A Google Stadia version is also in development.
