Since the launch of Borderlands 3, Randy Pitchford has released new shift codes for the game on a regular basis. Pitchford’s tweets dried up during the holidays, but now he’s back with a brand new Borderlands 3 shift code that fans of the looter-shooter can redeem for three Golden Keys.
The new Borderlands 3 shift code lasts a bit longer than usual. Instead of only being live for 24 hours, players have all weekend to redeem the code. The new Borderlands 3 shift code for January 2020 expires on Monday, January 13 at 10am CST. Those interested in redeeming the new BL3 shift code has a few options at their disposal. They can redeem the shift code in-game, through the Gearbox Software website, or through the official Borderlands website itself.
Here is the new Borderlands 3 shift code for January 10-13, 2020: CBCTB-9SR9Z-F3KH5-HTWTT-959T6. After redeeming the Borderlands 3 shift code, players will get three Golden Keys sent to their in-game mailbox. With the Golden Keys in their possession, Borderlands 3 players can open the chest aboard Sanctuary III for some free loot.
While Borderlands 3 enthusiasts no doubt appreciate a new shift code for some free Golden Keys, others may be more interested in learning about the next DLC expansion. As it stands, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot launched just last month, with no word on when the next DLC will be released. However, with four expansions planned as part of the Borderlands 3 season pass, it seems likely that the next expansion won’t be out for another month or two at least.
Presumably, Gearbox Software will be looking to spread out the story expansions throughout the year in order to keep fans engaged with the game long-term. Fans can expect more Borderlands 3 special events in the same vein as the Bloody Harvest as another effort to keep fans invested in the game as well.
Now that the holidays are over, perhaps fans will get some details about Borderlands 3’s future sooner rather than later. The Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC has been out for about a month now, and it’s safe to say that many hardcore fans have already played through it and are eagerly anticipating what’s next for the game.
