Google Stadia has finally added some new games to its library, as Borderlands 3 and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 are now available to purchase on the service.

Google Stadia launched with a small and lackluster library of titles that only had one exclusive in the form of Gylt. There were some great games in the Stadia library, but they had been available on other consoles for years and most have gone on sale numerous times since their initial release.

The Google Stadia library is finally receiving a contemporary game in the form of looter-shooter Borderlands 3, which was released back in September. Borderlands 3 takes the series to the stars, as the player is able to leave the confines of Pandora and visit other planets in their mission to stop the Calypso Twins. There is now an official Stadia website for Borderlands 3, which promises that load times and waiting for patches are a thing of the past.

Borderlands 3 isn’t the only game that has been added to Stadia, as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has also been added to the service. The official Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe YouTube page has uploaded a trailer for the game running on Stadia. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 allows the player to create their own character and go on time-traveling adventures through the multiverse of the Dragon Ball franchise, in order to perform the same job as the protagonist of Quantum Leap, except with a lot more shouting and punching.

Borderlands 3 is one of the most exciting new games to be added to the Stadia library, as it’s a contemporary title with a ton of content that would benefit from being able to switch from screen to screen so that people could play it all through the day. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is less exciting, as it’s already available on a number of systems, but it’s a welcome addition nonetheless. Google Stadia needs more modern games in order to show off its technical prowess and keep the buzz going until it finally receives a worldwide release in 2020.
