BlizzCon is almost upon us again, and fans are gearing up to try out the World of WarCraft: Classic demo. You can get access with your Virtual Ticket or a physical one. However, while many will want to spend hours playing the classic version of this game, be warned. Blizzard has announced there are limitations. We also received in-depth details about what exactly the demo includes and what it doesn’t. For example, there is a time limitation on how long you can actually stay in the demo.

Two dungeons, the Deadmines and Wailing Caverns, won’t be available. Also important to note is the only PvP will be dueling, and players won’t be able to visit zones other than Westfall and the Barrens. The demo will initially log gamers off after a certain amount of time to give others a turn. Blizzard has not determined how long this time limit will be yet, but they plan to add some flexibility. If, for example, you find your session has ended before you’ve done everything you wanted, it’s okay. Your character will still be there when you return for your next session, and all progress will be saved.
All players will begin the demo at level 15 in order for them to get the most out of it. However, the game will cap you at level 19. Fortunately, you will also have multiple character slots, so you can experience many different playthroughs.
“While we know that starting at level 1 holds a lot of nostalgia, you’re also limited in what you can do when you’re first starting out. Given the time constraints of a BlizzCon demo, we wanted to give players some freedom to explore and experiment with core systems like talents or professions, which are unavailable at level 1. We also wanted you to be able to get a good sense of the original class played. At Level 15, warriors have Defensive Stance, priests have Psychic Scream, hunters have their pet, and so on—so at this level you really start to feel like your class has some of the key tools that make the class distinct. Additionally, all characters will be capped at Level 19. But you can create multiple characters, so you can try out as many different classes and races as you’d like!”
This demo will surely bring out many players who want to experience the good old days of WoW Classic remastered for 2018. BlizzCon takes place on November 2 and 3, and you can check out more information here.
