Naughty Dog has revealed that The Last of Us and The Last of Us: Remastered have sold a combined 17 million copies worldwide.
The news comes as the acclaimed post-apocalyptic title celebrates its fifth anniversary, having first launched on PlayStation 3 on June 14, 2013. The game was then spruced up for PlayStation 4 in summer 2014.
The Last of Us: Part II is currently in development for the PS4, and features Ellie in the lead role. Sony debuted an impressively gory demo of the sequel during its E3 ‘deep dive’ showcase in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
