Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s Season Pass will not be available on Xbox 360, the Xbox Games Store has confirmed, suggesting future map packs and DLC may be limited to current-generation consoles and PC.
The message appears on the Xbox Store listing for the Black Ops 3 Season Pass, which also confirms that “4 epic DLC map packs” will arrive in 2016, “including re-imagined fan-favourite maps from Call of Duty: World at War and the Call of Duty: Black Ops series, plus thrilling Treyarch Zombies content”.
“Season Pass and ‘The Giant’ Zombies bonus map are not available on Xbox 360,” the listing adds.
Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Black Ops 3’s map packs won’t be available individually on Xbox 360, but it will be the first time in years that a Season Pass hasn’t been available for the last-gen version of Call of Duty.
VideoGamer.com has checked in with Activision for clarification on whether DLC for Black Ops 3 will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3, and is hoping to hear back soon.
In addition to dropping the Season Pass, there are other major differences between the last-gen and current-gen of Black Ops 3 as well.
Last month it was confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions would not include a campaign mode, while the framerate has also been cut from the usual 60fps to 30fps.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on November 6.
