Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s first DLC map pack ‘Awakening’ will not be available on Xbox 360 or PS3, Activision has confirmed. Instead, the content will only be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The lack of DLC is the latest in a string of features cut from the last-gen versions of Black Ops 3, joining the game’s campaign and the series’ traditional 60fps frame rate. Nuketown 2065, one of the game’s pre-order bonuses, was also only available in the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game.

Activision had previously warned that the “availability of individual DLC packs for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms may vary“.

It isn’t yet clear whether future map packs will be available on Xbox 360 or PS3, but given Awakening’s absence it’s probably safe to assume they won’t be.

Due for release next month, Awakening includes 4 brand new maps – Gauntlet, Splash, Rise and Skyjacked – plus a brand new chapter in Black Ops 3’s Zombies mode.

The DLC will be available first on PS4 on February 2, before heading to Xbox One and PC 30 days later.
