Viral marketing for the next Call of Duty has appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, a new report claims.

As reported by Charlie Intel, the 2012 shooter has allegedly been updated to include a new poster featuring a QR code for social media network Snapchat that, once snapped, directs the user to a mysterious new video on the Call of Duty account.

Opening with a shot of an eye, the 10 second teaser is then reported to play a recording of a man’s voice saying: “Listen only to the sound of my voice”. The video then transitions to a woodland area. You can take a look at it below.

This year’s Call of Duty is in development at Treyarch, the same studio behind Black Ops 2. However, it remains unclear whether the new game will be a direct sequel.

Earlier this year, Activision Publishing boss Eric Hirshberg said that he expects sales of this year’s Call of Duty “to be consistent” with last year’s Advanced Warfare, itself believed to be down on previous releases.

“Our 2015 guidance on Call of Duty’s new release is flat year-over-year, but we still have a fairly conservative planning assumption,” said Hirshberg. “We have Treyarch developing the game. We’ll have a larger installed base of next-gen hardware to sell into, and we believe our Q4 new release can be one of our best games yet. So we think the future is bright.”
