Anthem has had a rocky launch period, with issues regarding the shooter’s loot system being oft cited as a particular bugbear. A patch released this week was supposed to help some of these issues, but has introduced a few new ones resulting in many angry posts and even protests against developer BioWare. Now BioWare’s community manager has taken to Reddit to try and address some of the ongoing issues particularly related to fixing the loot system.

In the post replying to a community member laying out a bunch of these concerns,  Jesse Anderson (who goes by the handle Darokaz) said that ‘I know everyone wants to know when, but I don’t have that answer. We do not ignore any feedback from players, sometimes it just takes a bit longer as things need to be discussed for a longer time. We don’t want to say something we can’t do or give incorrect information. Like Chad Robertson said in a Tweet, we aren’t happy with where loot is either, so know that it’s high on our priority list.’

Of course, BioWare seems to remain comitted to ensuring work continues on the shooter to improve the game, with Anderson saying ‘Anthem is here to stay. Do we have a lot of work to do to fix parts of the game? Yes, and the team is committed to making improvements and releasing new content.’

Anthem is out now for Xbox One, PS4 and PC and you can read our review on it right over here.
