It might soon be possible to visit Rapture and Columbia on the go, as Bioshock: The Collection has been rated for the Nintendo Switch in Taiwan.

There were three Bioshock games released during the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 era of gaming: Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite. History has written off Bioshock 2 as a soulless cash-in, but Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite are considered to be two of the best games of all time. The Bioshock series is now being revived by a new studio called Cloud Chamber and Bioshock 4 has entered development, though it isn’t expected to be released for a long time.

Nintendo fans might soon have a chance to experience the Bioshock series, as the official rating board website for Taiwan has rated four Bioshock games for the Nintendo Switch. The games are Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite, and Bioshock: The Collection. It seems that it will be possible for people to buy all of the games individually or as one complete set.

Bioshock: The Collection is already available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, so we know what to expect from the game if the rating is legit. The games were all remastered to run at 1080p/60fps, they included all of the DLC for each game, the multiplayer content from Bioshock 2 was absent, and the games included director’s commentary from creative director Ken Levine and lead artist Shawn Robertson.

The Bioshock games have been remastered for modern systems in the past, but this will be the first time that they are playable on a Nintendo system. A version of Bioshock: The Collection on the Nintendo Switch won’t actually be the series’ first outing on a handheld system, as the game is also available for the Nvidia Shield Portable and Nvidia Shield Tablet.

Bioshock: The Collection contains some excellent games and they would be a welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch. Just remember to put on a surprised face if Nintendo announces it during the next Direct, assuming that the company is ready to put the fans out of their misery and host one soon.
