Attention all citizens of Rapture - I hope you’ve all got plenty EVE Hypos in hand because 2k Games have revealed that the first piece of DLC for their atmospheric shooter, Bioshock 2 will be released next week. The multiplayer oriented Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack will be made available for download from March 11th and will set you back a reasonable 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 on PS3.

The full list of new content is as follows:

  • Rank increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards New playable characters - Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca 20 new trials* A third weapon upgrade for each weapon Five additional masks*

It is worth noting that some of the new content will only be unlocked after the player achieves a rank of 41 or higher, so you’ll have had to put in a fair amount of hours if you want to experience everything The Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack has to offer.

Those of you who aren’t interested in the multiplayer potion of Bioshock 2 - fear not, for you haven’t been excluded from the DLC party. A couple of weeks ago 2K revealed that they plan to release downloadable single player expansions in the near future:

Are you still playing Bioshock 2’s multiplayer? Are you planning on downloading The Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack on March 11th?

“In the coming months, 2K Games will also be publishing downloadable extensions of the single player experience that provide new insight into the world of Rapture. These packages will include more narrative, new tools and new challenges that extend the lore and fiction of the failed Utopia under the sea.”
