The holidays are rapidly approaching. Fortunately, Pokemon has you, or the Trainer in your life, covered. From Legends: Arceus and Scarlet & Violet, to Silver Tempest and V Battle Decks, or even a tasty Pikachu tart, there are all kinds of exciting gifts for you to stuff your stockings with.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

The newest Pokemon games for the Switch take us to the sunny region of Paldea, in Pokemon’s first-ever truly open world game. With over 100 Pokemon to discover and three different stories to battle your way through, Scarlet and Violet are big, ambitious games full of places to go, Pokemon to meet, and enemies to defeat.

There’s not much difference between the two games besides a few different Pokemon and some slight changes to the story, so you’ll be good buying either one. If you’d prefer a prehistoric angle, go with Scarlet, whereas fans of more futuristic designs should definitely consider Violet.

For the complete Paldean experience, why not go for the double pack and get both games? That way, you’ll see everything this new land has to offer and won’t have to rely on others to complete your Pokedex.

Winter Wonders Throw Blanket

It isn’t the holidays without a warm blanket to snuggle under, and Pokemon is helping that with this series of tasteful, yet incredibly comfy throw blankets.

Faux shearling with a microfleece top layer, these 70”x50” blankets are available in four patterns: black, red, and grey sherpa throws featuring tiling Pikachu patterns, and the green throw that combines snowflakes and an abstract Pikachu emblem. They all look super stylish, and should fit nicely in with your home’s décor; and they’re so thick and squishy that you’ll be toasty all winter long.

The Winter Wonders Throws are available exclusively through the Pokemon Center store for $39.99 each.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Earlier this year saw the launch of one of the most radically different Pokemon games we’ve ever seen, with Pokemon Legends: Arceus for the Switch. Whisking us back into the distant past of the Sinnoh region (then known as Hisui), it’s a unique look into how the Pokemon world we know and love today came to be, while also introducing plenty of never-before-seen mechanics to the series.

Legends: Arceus is more action-focused than previous games. You’re free to catch Pokemon as much as you like without going to battle, and when you do finally decide to fight, it ditches the usual turn-based affair for a more active combat style.

If a fresh take on Pokemon with a fascinating historical slant and gameplay that rewards exploration and stealth sounds good to you, Legends: Arceus should already be on your radar.

My Pokemon Cookbook

For the foodies, the My Pokemon Cookbook includes a range of recipes inspired by the first eight generations of Pokemon. From Poke Ball rice bowls and Pikachu lemon tarts to Furret fluffy pancakes and Mudbray babka, the recipes span sweet and savoury and all skill levels.

The instructions are nice and clear, with both imperial and metric measurements. Slushies, cakes, sandwiches, pasta, rice, and more look delicious, and most of it is easy enough for younger fans to make too.

Pokemon TCG – Sword & Shield: Silver Tempest Elite Trainer Box

Pokemon continued to rule the trading card game space this year, with a series of absolute banger launches. Between Brilliant Stars, Astral Radiance, and Lost Origin, the game looks incredibly different to this time last year, while also still including those juicy chase cards that collectors love so much.

As the expansion to close out the year, Silver Tempest is no exception. It included everything people love about the TCG this year, with new VMAX, VSTAR and Radiant Pokemon to find, and even more cards from the full-art Trainer Gallery to kit out your favourite decks with.

The Elite Trainer Box is the best way to buy Silver Tempest, whether for yourself or the TCG fan in your life. Each box includes eight booster packs of Silver Tempest, 65 Alolan Vulpix-themed sleeves to protect your cards, a pack of Energy cards, a buyer’s guide to the Silver Tempest expansion, dice, a coin, condition markers, and a fancy box to keep it all in.

PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller And Slim Case For Nintendo Switch – Pikachu High Voltage

Play Legends: Arceus and Scarlet & Violet in style, thanks to the Pikachu High Voltage wired controller by PowerA. Lightweight and comfortable to hold, it also looks very nice with a shocking Pikachu design on the face.

It has all the same buttons of a regular Switch pad, but also chucks in some remappable buttons for extra convenience. While it is a wired controller, which may not work for some peoples’ gaming setups, the wire is three metres (ten feet) long, which should be more than enough for most.

PowerA also has a range of cases for the Nintendo Switch. If you want a Pikachu-themed case, there’s a sleek, sturdy way to protect your console while on the go, and has a special flap for storing up to ten Switch cartridges. If you have a Switch Lite, an adaptive insert ensures it’ll be just as snug in the case as an original or OLED one.

Pokemon TCG: Deoxys Z And Zeraora V Battle Decks

Elite Trainer Boxes are great for collectors, but for those who’re brand new to the Pokemon TCG, V Battle Decks are often brilliant for getting stuck in and actually learning how to play. Each box contains a full deck – based around either Zeraora V or Deoxys V – that you can shuffle up and play with straight from the box.

Each one includes the 60-card deck, a deck box to keep them in, a paper playmat to show you where each card goes, an exclusive flip coin, cardboard damage and condition markers, and a code to redeem the entire deck on Pokemon TCG Online or TCG Live.

Though they are balanced against each other, the Zeraora V and Deoxys V Battle Decks can also be played against any of the other recent constructed decks. It’s a great way of having a fun, fair time playing, and it is also one of the cheapest ways to break into the game.

Together For The Holidays Ornaments

Available exclusively through the Pokemon Center website, the Together For the Holidays ornaments are a collection of eight bauble inspired by different Gen 1 Pokemon: Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, Ditto, Slowpoke, Gengar, and Jigglypuff.

Not only do these look absolutely adorable, they’re surprisingly large and robust too. Made from a mix of Styrofoam and resin, they’re not likely to break while in storage the rest of the year, and they’re safe from little terrors running around when they are out on display.

The Wand Company Poke Ball Replicas

Suppose you want to buy something particularly ultra-luxurious. In that case, these die-cast replicas of Pokemon’s famous poke balls are something any fan would cherish as the premier piece of their collection.

Each ball is a metal, life-size recreation, complete with lighting effects that begin to glow as you move your hand closer to it – just like the anime. They all come in a fancy display case, which also has lighting to make your ball really pop.

Psyduck Presents Red Knit Sweater

Why bother with itchy, annoying Christmas jumpers, when Pokemon’s Psyduck sweater is ludicrously comfortable, and features everyone’s favourite, constantly confused duck? Though it looks like a wool sweater, it’s acrylic and shouldn’t irritate sensitive skin. It also goes from size XS to 4XL, allowing most people to get into the festive spirit.

If Psyduck isn’t your favourite Pokemon, there are also sweaters for Vulpix, and Pikachu (in red, grey, or navy). Alternatively, if you love Psyduck, but red isn’t your colour, there’s also a green variant available. All of these sweaters are exclusively available through the Pokemon Center store, for $49.99 each (bar Snorlax, which is $44.99.)
