Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions has been out in the wild for about a month now and many gamers have received the full experience from each of the four iterations of the wall-crawling hero. Beenox, developers on the game, have released a comprehensive behind-the-scenes look at all that went in to making the game, from the concept to the sound design. If you’re a fan of the game or the Spider-Man property you definitely want to check this out.
While this no holds barred look might have assisted in convincing gamers that this was the game for them prior to the game’s release, it also might have spoiled many of the game’s surprise elements. The developers were so enamored with the different Spider-Man versions that exist in the comic book world that they finally came upon the idea of including as many of their favorites as possible into one succinct experience.
For those who might not be familiar with the game’s story it goes like this: Mysterio, that fog headed crystal ball, has caused Spider-Man to break up the ‘Tablet of Order and Chaos’ sending it careening into four different dimensions each with their own version of Spider-Man. From there, the object is simple, attain all of the missing pieces and restore order to the universe.
What’s most interesting about this behind-the-scenes look is which of the various Spider-Man forms each member of the development team found to be his or her favorite. Ultimate stood out as the clear winner, a fact that is certainly reflected in the single player of the game, while only one member was a fan of Noir, star of arguably the weaker sections of the game.

There are a ton of Spider-Mans packed into this game and plenty of iconic villains (13 in all) to take down. If you have a hard time finding at least one thing to like, I might check my pulse.
