Battlefield 2042 has a progression system where players will unlock rewards like guns and Specialists. This is Battlefield 2042’s ranking system. The Player base has been unhappy since it takes an unimaginable amount of time just to get through higher levels. And the ranking progression after that is even worse. In today’s guide, I will explain the Ranking System in Battlefield 2042 and the max cap of the ranks.

Battlefield 2042 Ranking System: Ranks Explained

To progress the Ranking System of Battlefield 2042, you will need to get XP. Now, XP is earned by playing the game. Performing Objectives, completing Ribbons, and doing other such tasks will earn you XP in Battlefield 2042. Each time you complete one XP Bar of a level, you will rank up to the next level. Like this, there are 99 levels. From these 99 levels, 60 of them will get you all of the Weapons and Specialists. As you can see, there is a lot of grinding required.

Once you do reach level 99, the bus doesn’t stop there. After level 99, you will start getting S-Levels. S-Levels start from S001 and end at S999 which is the max cap in Battlefield 2042. So, altogether we have the 99 levels of the normal progression and then the 999 S-Levels which gives us a total of 1098 levels to grind. That is a lot and the community agrees to that. Also, these ranks don’t have names like they had in previous titles of Battlefield, just numbers. The worst part about it is that the S-Levels do not give any kind of reward so they are just there for bragging rights.

Battlefield 2042 is still a new game and maybe in the future, there will be much-needed changes to how the Ranking System works. This was all about the Ranking System in the game.
