The Babylon’s Fall development team says it has no intention of scaling back its plans following the game’s poor launch reception.

A tweet from the game’s official account posted a response to the question: “Is the continuing service in danger?” It said: “No, there are no plans to reduce the scale of development on Babylon’s Fall. Content up to the end of Season 2 is now practically complete and we have started work on Season 3 and beyond.”

The game released earlier this month & is currently sitting on a Metascore of just 42 on Metacritic. Despite this, the team aren’t letting the reception put a dent in its previously established plans. “We will continue to provide new content for the game and make improvements based on player feedback, striving to keep existing players playing and to attract newcomers”.

This feedback will presumably include the respondents to last week’s survey. A post on the game’s official website asked fans their opinions on the game’s graphics. This included the literal visuals, but also things like design of the world, character models and more. In the meantime, the game is set to get a Large Scale Update later this week. That’ll introduce a new faction, new story content, a new Gauntlet game mode and more. That’ll then be followed by a NieR: Automata collaboration event on March 29.

Babylon’s Fall is available now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Today, we revealed new information about version 1.1.0, the NieR:Automata collaboration event and the future of BABYLON’S FALL development.
