Koei Tecmo Europe has announced that Attack on Titan 2 is now in development for the Nintendo Switch, and it’ll be released alongside the previously announced PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions in 2018. A.O.T 2 is a sequel to the 2016 game Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom, which retells key moments from a popular Japanese Manga about man-eating giants, and it comes from Omega Force, the folks behind Dynasty Warriors. To be blunt, it looks nuts.

A.O.T revolves around three young people who’ve survived the destruction of their walled city district by enormous, pot-bellied, butt naked giants that run amok and eat people. The three characters decide to join the Scout Regiment in order to protect humanity from these overpowering foes. The player takes control of a young man named Eren, who, it transpires, actually has the ability to turn into one of these Titans. Except in Eren’s case, when he’s a Titan he’s built like an MMA fighter, and he happens to have no lips and no… bits downstairs.

Koei Tecmo has confirmed that more information about the game’s release date, narrative, and new mechanics will be unveiled in the coming weeks. It’s released some new screenshots of the game in action, and to be fair everything looks suitably insane and random as hell.

Attack on Titan 2 will be released in Europe in 2018 for the PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC.
