As we’ve discussed previously in our main guide for Astria Ascending‘s J-Ster minigame, there are many ways for you to amass a collection. Of course, you don’t want to be saddled with too many tokens/cards with a low value. That’s why we need to look for some of the best options in the game. Here’s our Astria Ascending guide to help you find the rarest 4-star and 5-star J-Ster tokens.

Note: For more information, check out our Astria Ascending guides and features hub. Likewise, please be reminded that this guide contains major spoilers since we’re discussing character tokens and advancing further in the campaign.

Astria Ascending guide: Where to find unique 4-star and 5-star J-Ster tokens

As a rule of thumb, the 5-star J-Ster tokens in Astria Ascending are those that pertain to your playable party members. There’s only a single copy of these in the entire game. These tokens represent different jobs/classes for each character, and they have different power values, too. For instance, the Ulan – Captain token has a power value of 6, but the Ulan – Black Mage token has a power value of 9.

4-star tokens are also fairly rare. Some are unique in that they’re the only copy, whereas others allow you to obtain duplicates (i.e., Rumeh, Belza, Nobi, and Nabu). Because some of these tokens have a power value of 8, it’s advisable to get several copies so you’ll have a better shot when the Random rule is in play.

In any case, here are some of the rare and unique 4-star and 5-star J-Ster tokens that I’ve found in Astria Ascending. Please remember that some of these characters can’t be challenged early on in the game. You’ll need to progress further in the campaign and revisit their locations to see if you can play a J-Ster match against them. In a few examples, you might even need to use the time warp after finishing the campaign.
