Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Crossover Story guide: A Fated Encounter – Light puzzle solution in What Dreams May Come
Once you’ve gathered all five Shards in Counting Sheep, return to the Cave of Gold in the northeastern section of the Isle of Skye. Interact with the dais, which will cause the large doorway to open. Make your way through the tunnels while avoiding poison gas.
Eventually, you’ll see a cavern with stalagmites jutting out of a pool of water. Swim underwater to reach the opposite side and follow the steps to reach the next area.
Inside the spacious chamber, you’ll need to kill the deranged villagers. Once you’ve taken them out, a cutscene will show Kassandra taking out an ambusher. Be ready since you’ll have to face more baddies.
When you’re done, Kassandra will ask you to help her with the Isu devices. Before you do that, though, you can climb the steps to reach a small campsite.
Follow the winding tunnels all the way to the end. You’ll come across a wooden walkway with the exit to the right.
Smash the obstacles on the walkway to reveal some explosive vases. Use these to blow open the wall, letting you pick up a Tungsten Ingot (Wealth collectible).
Once you’ve done that, it’s time to solve the Light puzzle in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. First off, Kassandra is already focusing one of the light beams, so that’s fine. However, you do need to adjust the two that are further away from the door:
- Move Pedestal #1 (furthest from the door) so that it can reflect the beam to Pedestal #2 (the one that’s next to it).
- Rotate and aim Pedestal #2 so that the beam hits the pillar to the right of the door.
Next, we’ll need to adjust two more devices:
- Climb the wooden shelf to reach Pedestal #3. Rotate it so the beam hits Pedestal #4.
- Aim Pedestal #4 so that the beam hits the pillar to the left of the door.
That’s it, you’ve solved the Light puzzle in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but you’re not done yet. You still need to delve deeper into the Cave of Gold. Follow Kassandra and she’ll tell you some tidbits about her past. The Greek statues and Cult of Kosmos masks here are just illusions created by the Isu artifact.
Sadly, Kassandra remembers the child, Phoibe, after seeing a wooden eagle toy. As such, Eivor has to grab the artifact, an Apple of Eden, alone.
This causes tremendous pain and only Kassandra’s timely intervention manages to save our Viking warrior. Eivor laughs because the Apple of Eden is so small — since she doesn’t know its true power — before handing it over to Kassandra.
She then invites the Misthios to celebrate. This leads to One Last Sleepless Night, the conclusion of the Isle of Skye arc.
