Listings for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered on the Nintendo Switch were spotted on Greek retailer The Console Club’s website (via Twitter).

Of course, this is unconfirmed and unannounced by Ubisoft, so we’ll have to take this listing with a pinch of sea salt. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag was lauded for chopping up the Assassin’s Creed formula with ship battles and exploration across the Caribbean, and a pirate protagonist that didn’t care for the whole ancient civilisation and magic powers shtick. And who could blame him. In Rogue, Shay used to be an Assassin and then he thought they were hypocritical for not using alien artefacts to avert disaster and save innocent lives. He went over to the Templars, met Ed’s son Haytham, and found that using these relics to avert disaster and subjugate the human race was much more agreeable.

‘Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag & Rogue Remastered NSW NEW’ is priced at €38.90 on the site, and is available for pre-order. It appears to be a bundle, which would round out the Kenway saga for Switch very nicely. Earlier this year, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered was released for the Switch, and as Ubisoft cools off its continual churning out of Creed content, it makes sense that it would begin porting its catalogue to new platforms.

I loved Black Flag, but I’ve not gotten round to Rogue because Odyssey is very shiny and I am easily distracted. If they were on the Switch, the pick-up-and-play style of the portable console would be an excellent fit for those among us who skipped out on Rogue, and miss the brisk sea breeze and cracks of timber when driving the Jackdaw straight into a legendary Man of War.
