UK retailer Argos has announced that it plans to deliver the Xbox One X console at 12:01am on launch day, but you’ll have to live in London, and between zones 1-5. If you live in West Ruislip, Loughton, Elm Park or Heathrow, you may want to move a little closer to take advantage.
In a tweet the retailer said that it’ll announce details on how to sign up to be part of the trial at 8am BST, October 25. Argos has said that Minute-Past-Midnight delivery is an ‘additional pre-order opportunity’, so the 12.01am slot is only available to customers who wish to purchase and pre-order an Xbox One X as part of this trial, rather than customers who have taken part in previous pre-order offers from the retailer.
This is an expansion of its existing Fast Track same-day delivery scheme, which charges £3.95 for the delivery of goods ordered by 6pm. The Argos Fast Track delivery service covers more than 90% of UK, and if this proves successful, then Argos has indicated that it’ll expand the midnight delivery service to other parts of the country.
Those who miss out on a Minute-Past-Midnight delivery will be able to purchase the Xbox One X through Argos’s Fast Track delivery service shortly after its launch. This offers same-day delivery in as little as four hours if ordered by 6pm.
