Apple Arcade has added four new games to its roster — Pilgrims, Redout: Space Assault, Nightmare Farm, and The Bradwell Conspiracy.
Launched late last month, Apple Arcade has already earned rave reviews. The subscription service offers dozens of excellent games for a low monthly fee and only looks to build on that success moving forward. This first batch of new games is certainly a step in the right direction. While we don’t know if these will be the only new games for October, we can say that you’ll probably find something to enjoy among them.
Pilgrims
Pilgrims is a wonderfully animated adventure game by Amanita Design. If that name sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the studio behind hits such as Machinarium and Botanicula. Pilgrims looks to be another great addition to not only Apple Arcade, but also to the adventure genre as a whole.
Redout: Space Assault
If you want something more action-packed, then check out Redout: Space Assault. This is an arcade shooter from 34BigThings that offers controller support, beautiful 3D graphics, and will eventually make its way to PC as well. As for the story, you’ll follow Leon, a pilot who is attempting to colonize Mars when things go awry.
Nightmare Farm
Nightmare Farm is a bit of an enigma, as there isn’t a trailer for it on the App Store and the screenshots don’t give much away, so we don’t know exactly how the game actually plays. The Store page description isn’t much help either, offering a weird poem and little else. Be sure to give it a gander if you’re curious.
The Bradwell Conspiracy
Finally, we have The Bradwell Conspiracy, which developer Bossa Studios describes as an immersive first-person narrative. Bossa Studios is responsible for past hits such as Surgeon Simulator and Thomas Was Alone. Expect an engaging story with plenty of puzzles along the way.
Apple still hasn’t revealed how often it plans to add games to the Arcade, but it’s nice to see some new titles being introduced only weeks after launch. It wouldn’t be surprising to see them launch some Halloween-themed games, either, as we get closer to the 31st, but nothing official has been announced yet.
Pilgrims, Redout: Space Assault, Nightmare Farm, and The Bradwell Conspiracy are all available now on Apple Arcade.
