Constantly changing it up with new updates and events, Apex Legends will soon be host to yet another event, which will bring a series of unique modes and features to the popular first-person shooter. The event is known as Grand Soirée Arcade and will be starting next week.
In a trailer uploaded to the Apex Legends YouTube channel, the new modes and features are demonstrated over the course of a minute and a half.

As can be seen in the video, there is a sizable amount of content to unpack from the upcoming event.
As narrated by a fancily-dressed Pathfinder, viewers are taken through the content that will appear in-game via the Grand Soirée Event. First of all, the event will feature a total of seven new modes with two days allotted for each mode. The first mode detailed is the Gold Rush Duos, which involves the sole use of gold weapons for two players.
The second mode shown is Third-Person Mode. As indicated by the name, this mode enabled players to play using a third-person perspective. Armed And Dangerous: World’s Edge is the third mode presented. This mode requires the use of shotguns and snipers “with limited armor.” The fourth mode is Kings Canyon After Dark. This simply involves playing on a night-time version of the map Kings Canyon.
The fifth mode is Dummies Big Day. Although less is shown of this mode, it allows players to participate in dummie-filled matches and even play as one themselves. The sixth mode on the docket is Live. Die. Live. In this mode, players “automatically respawn on living squadmates when the ring closes.” Finally, the seventh mode is Always Be Closing. A reference to a quote from the classic film Glengarry Glenn Ross, Always Be Closing has players “avoiding big damage from a ring that won’t slow down.”
Additionally, there will be a set of fancy cosmetics available for the roster of characters.
The event will be kicking off on January 14th and will last until January 28th. Get your fanciest gear ready.
