Apex Legends is kicking off Chinese New Year with the introduction of the Celestial Sunrise Collection Event. The latest festive in-game occasion from EA and Respawn Entertainment brings a ton of new features, including unique skins and limited-time modes.

When is the Celestial Sunrise Collection Event in Apex Legends?

The Celestial Sunrise Collection Event will begin on January 24 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT. It will be available for all Apex Legends players for two weeks until February 7.

With its start date now revealed, it seems that the Celestial Sunrise Collection Event will launch immediately after the Spellbound Collection Event. If you weren’t able to participate in the latter, then you will surely get plenty of chances to earn goodies in the former.

What is Hardcore Royale Mode in Apex Legends?

Hardcore Royale is a limited-time game mode that will be introduced during the Celestial Sunrise Collection Event. Though its gameplay will largely be similar to regular trios, there will also be a variety of changes that will test your teamwork and communication skills.

Based on the event announcement from EA, Hardcore Royale will feature the following mechanics once it’s available:

  • Limited HUD
  • White Armor only
  • No Helmets
  • Armor doesn’t spawn in Deathboxes (No Armor Swapping)
  • Ring starts at max damage

Hardcore Royale mode will also only be available to accounts that are level 20 and above, much like Ranked mode. Only a few days are left before the event begins so make sure to reach the appropriate level by then in order to participate.
