Anthem is forecast to sell between five and six million copies by the end of March, publisher Electronic Arts said during a call with investors.

The BioWare-developed sci-fi shooter launches on February 22, which means it has around six weeks to hit the target, as EA’s fiscal year closes on March 31. That’s a pretty big figure to hit, so it’ll be interesting to see how well the game fares.

EA’s Andrew Wilson said that the recent demo saw ‘people… realizing it is a game that’s unlike any other game they’ve ever played’ (via GI.biz).

He added: ‘We think there is a great opportunity not just this year for [Anthem], but that should sell well for a long period of time as we add more content through the live service plan.’

Anthem encountered a few technical hiccups during its VIP demo, although BioWare said that its open demo weekend exceeded expectations.
