If you’re looking to upgrade your PC and also happen to want Resident Evil 3 and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, AMD has a solid deal for you. As spotted by publication VideoCardz, AMD is running another “Raise the Game” promotion for its RX 5000 series of graphics cards. These include such heavy hitters as the RX 5500 XT and RX 5700.
As you can tell from the headline, Capcom’s popular Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and the upcoming Resident Evil 3 will be included alongside purchases of specific cards. In addition to those two titles, a three-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass for PC is also included. If you happen to go for the RX 5500 XT, you’ll even get the bonus of Warcraft 3: Reforged and Ghost Recon Breakpoint thrown in. That’s a hell of a savings on games, especially since the card can be found for $180 on some sites.
The deal including all of these games is reportedly starting on February 4, 2020. The Game Pass offer is currently valid and will run until April 25, 2020. If you don’t care about the other games and just need a new graphics card, at least you’ll still have a ton of stuff to play when you get it.
What’s strange about this deal is that the RX 5600 is not included. Despite being the XT model, the 5500 is considered a low-tier graphics card. It will be able to run all of the games included in this promotion, but it’s not exactly the smartest investment if you’re wanting to run games at higher resolutions or framerates.
It’s very odd that the more powerful RX 5700 cards wouldn’t also get the full bundle. I suppose one can’t complain about free, but AMD has made a weird deal here. Then again, Breakpoint isn’t really worth dealing with and a lot of users are reporting a plethora of issues with Reforged. Maybe it’s better to skip those games?
Game Pass is the real clincher here. Even if you aren’t a fan of Microsoft’s output, the amount and variety of games on offer through the subscription is staggering. You could occupy yourself for literal months and only pay the price of a single game. It’s a really good deal.
