AMD has announced a new promotion that will see a number of its Ryzen processors drop in price.
Other prices for the Ryzen 3000 line of CPUs include the following:
- Ryzen 7 3800X — $339.99
- Ryzen 7 3700X — $299.99
- Ryzen 5 3600 — $174.99
In addition to the price cut, those who buy select Ryzen CPUs will also receive a three-month pass — which retails for $29.99 — to Xbox Game Pass for PC at no extra charge. The Netflix-like service gives players access to over 100 PC games including Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and even the recently released Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Microsoft plans to add dozens more games to the service throughout the rest of 2020 as well.
The sale promotion runs through the end of March and is limited to customers in North America only.
Now, if you’re looking for more top-of-the-line CPU power, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper line may be more up your alley. However, those aren’t a part of the promotion.
Taking advantage of Game Pass
As stated, those who purchase select processors will receive an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
Once you get your subscription, simply download the Xbox (beta) app on your Windows 10 machine. From there, you can register or log in with your Microsoft account and then redeem the code you receive.
Playing games will require you to install them to your hard drive, so make sure you have the proper space available before trying to play anything.
