As AMD’s upcoming entry-level graphics card, the RX 6600 XT has been the subject of discussion for months thanks to many leaks and rumors. Previous reports alluded to an August launch date and now Fudzilla claims that the Radeon RX 6600 XT and 6600 will release on August 11 with an abundance of stock.

Both the Radeon RX 6600 XT and 6600 are said to be based on the Navi 23 GPU with up to 8 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 128-bit wide memory bus. Rumors say the XT version will have 2048 Stream Processors, as opposed to the 1792 Stream Processors that come with the base model. In addition, both graphics cards will feature a memory clock speed of 16 Gbps and a bandwidth of 256 GBps.

These rumors also suggest that there will be plenty of stock thanks to the availability of many custom versions at launch. This would be a pleasant surprise given the shortage issues with previous AMD graphics card launches.

Sneak peak at the Radeon RX 6600 XT’s design and performance

First spotted by VideoCardz, images and a benchmark result of the Radeon RX 6600 XT have recently surfaced online through Chinese forums. The images show a reference model graphics card with a standard dual-fan design and an aluminum heatsink. A Chinese benchmark called Ludashi also tested the card’s performance. The Radeon RX 6600 XT achieved a score of 599007, which is similar to what one might expect from an RTX 3060 Ti.

There is no word on the pricing of these entry-level GPUs as of yet. However, the RX 6600 XT is speculated to have an MSRP of $399 USD. This will position the card as a direct competitor to Nvidia’s very popular RTX 3060 Ti. AMD has yet to confirm anything regarding the alleged launch date. However, if these rumors are true, we may hear an official announcement from the manufacturer in the near future.
