Despite The Surge 2’s shorter length compared to its predecessor, the game was able to deliver other improvements specifically to its overall performance and gameplay. In our review of The Surge 2, we were impressed by the level of variety introduced in the game’s exploration mechanic, and how fans of the first game will find The Surge 2 fun to play, especially with its Dark Souls-style action. “The Surge 2’s improved exploration and performance go a long way in making it better than its predecessor, though it’s held back somewhat from the unreliable lock-on and bugs.”
The Surge 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
