At E3 2019 last June, CD Projekt Red revealed that its critically acclaimed game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will be ported to the Nintendo Switch. Since then, the developer has revealed that The Witcher 3 will grace Nintendo’s hybrid console on October 15, 2019.
Last August, CD Projekt Red may have teased The Witcher 4 during its recent earnings report. The developer confirmed that The Witcher 3 is still selling well despite it being released four years ago, and its outlook for its upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077 remains positive. In light of this, the studio revealed that both franchises will be moving to a dual-franchise model, which means that those games will be a big part of CD Projekt Red’s future plans.
Meanwhile, CD Projekt Red is currently pre-occupied with the development of its sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077. The upcoming game is set in the futuristic world of Night City, featuring a vast open-world environment containing six unique regions. The game will also feature actor Keanu Reeves, who will be joining the game as Johnny Silverhand. Players interested in purchasing the game will be happy to know that Walmart is also offering Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order at a discount.
The Witcher 3 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One X, with a Switch release slated for October 15.
